Hard Time are here....Is it to stay?

I have not been keeping up with my hard times blog because I have been working on other projects but, I am back and will update more often.
Well, I am sure you have noticed how food prices have slowly but surely been creeping up. The price increase are so obvious now, no way are you getting even close to what you would normally get for the same amount of money. There is no mercy from the stores, they have the suppliers on their backs well, except Walmart and that's another story. What are consumers to do? This is a global crisis, there is no cushion anywhere. Even though we are in an economical crisis in our country we are not  the only ones suffering, this is a ricochet effect or a melting pot, until we can start healing as a country it is going to be hard for the others to follow. No matter what we are going through, we are still considered the leader in the world's economic setting.
On to more pressing things, what can we do to alleviate some of the stress on our dollar? How can we stretch it and get the most out of every cent? What I have doing is going back to the days of couponing, I never thought the day would come when I would actually enjoy collecting coupons. There are coupon clubs that are gaining in popularity, some of which can be found online.
Surviving in hard times calls for innovative measures in order to maintain a certain lifestyle like getting smart and cutting back on the electricity bill start saving now
Buying and cooking in bulk. It is much cheaper to by a 10lb bag of potato than a 5lb bag when you consider pound for pound. It is convenient cooking and freezing when perishable items are on sale.
I find gas prices the big stinker right now, the prices have been steadily creeping up for the last seven months and not much is been done to help consumers. Well, for me, that has allowed me to get the much needed exercise that my body so lack. The weather is good and I would encourage more people to get out and walk, it is health and it will add years to your life.Don't forget to drink your water when you do.
Success should come no matter what state the country is in. There is success in not only your financial life but also in your personal life. Not because the country is in a rough state does not mean there can be no success, if each of us step out of our comfort zone and aim a little higher our country would get back on the road to success faster.
Here's to surviving this economic turmoil
