To to the sky For Food Prices
It’s just unbelievable where gas prices and food prices have gone, not only have they
risen but in some countries things are becoming harder and harder to get. Now that’s a scary thought ….food shortage, makes you think of the 30’s, but we won’t go there today.
I am going to talk a little about food price situation and how tocan alleviate some of the pressure off our pockets.
You want to spend the same amount you normally spend, getting the same quality and quatity you are use to getting.
Create a budget. Man cannot live without a budget.
First and foremost never shop without a list, no matter how tempting it seem. This will keep you from over spending.
Impulse shopping can drive up your food budget by nearly 40%.`Do not be tempted by displays placed strategically to entice you. Stay away from end of isle and checkout counter displays.
Fore go the quick stops to the stores, your list should be thorough enough when you are making it and whatever you need can wait until the next shedule shopping time. Unless it’s necessity, go in and out real fast, dont linger and eye shop.
Coupons are great, they have saved me hundreds of dollars. This however is not for everyone, if you are on a tight budget then this is the route you want to take. Your sunday papers are the way to get started then, you can join coupon clubs online and request the coupons you want. Keep your coupons in a separate container and organized.
Base your meals off what’s on sale, this wii save you quite a bit. It doesn’t take long to plan your weeks menu, actually your family will appreciate it.
Start brown bagging it to work and school. Prices for convienece food have risen so high it’s unbelievable, trust me that extra cash can go to putting gas in your car. Now that’s something we can’t do much about. My thought, get a bike or let us all start walking more.
Cheers to saving and to maintaining a food budget.
